ab: This article reports that Rosie de Courcy, Orion cofounder is the latest publisher to join a literary agency. De Courcy will become editorial director of Mulcahy & Viney from July, and a shareholder in the company. She will work with its authors to develop story ideas and manuscripts, rather than acting as an agent. She will continue to run her own freelance editorial service for publishers and individual authors such as Jeffrey Archer, whom she edits for Macmillan. Ivan Mulcahy, who founded the agency in 2002 with Charlie Viney, said de Courcy's brief was to improve proposals and edit manuscripts.
