Sumario:The article focuses on the media aspects of the U.S. War on Terror, including the use of the Internet and the role of American citizens according to Tom Ridge, head of the Office of Homeland Security. The public relations campaigns of the administration of U.S. President George W. Bush are evaluated. The culture of fear in American life is discussed, as well as the proposed solutions of consumerism and perpetual, anxiety driven awareness. The narratives following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on America are also explored and questioned.
