Sumario:The article reports on developments related to higher education in Great Britain. In 1886, the acquisitions budget of the British Library was almost halved. According to the National Economic Development Office, Great Britain faces severe shortage of trained computer programmers. Clifton R. Wharton, Jr., chancellor of the State University of New York, has warned that there has been an alarming decline in the number of American agriculturists interested in international development.
