| Sumario: | The article discusses the function of data processing in the study of disease processes within an institution for mentally retarded people. Many state institutions have recorded basic information through data processing such as age at admission or birth date, sex, psychiatric diagnosis, intelligence quotient, and ethnic status. Three different prediction situations are discussed to give guidelines to medical administrators in the management of patients and the prevention of disease. |
