Sumario:This article discusses software product lines. The article notes that agent-oriented software has emerged as a new software engineering paradigm to apply the best practices in the development of multi-agent systems. The new software focuses on the use of agents and communities of agents as the main abstractions of the software. The authors advocate the application of software product line theory towards multi-agent systems, noting that the product line theory will make the development of multi-agent systems more practical.
