| Sumario: | The article discusses the design project created by the Rockwell Group for the Baroque-style chandelier of the theatrical production of The Phantom of the Opera, reconfigured for the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The chandelier flies apart, crashes to the floor and glides up into a pocket in the ceiling for the rest of the show. Rockwell designed the chandelier to be split into four components, each hung by four steel cables attached to a series of winches hidden in the ceiling above. |
