This strongly resembles nowadays discussions concerning the nature of sciences and the financial issues of scientific research. Thus, we seek to evaluate the issues of the applicability of Kant' ideas in contemporary science related debates. Strupsnyje sitknma peržiūrėti svarbiausias Kanto Fakultetų ginčo nuostatas. Kanto tekste pateikiama savita valstybė ir įvairių mokslinių disciplinų santykio interpretacija: fakultetai (mokslai) yra skirstomi pagal tai, kiek jų tyrimai gali būti aktualus ir naudingi valstybi. Šios Kanto nuostatos primena nūdienos diskusijas apie skirtingų mokslų prigimtį bei mokslinių tyrimų finansavimą.
