| Sumario: | The article focuses on the life and works of composer Thomas Hyde. It is noted that Hyde studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Simon Bainbridge. The first piece he was asked to write was for eight cellos to be performed at a Pärt in Profile Festival. The portfolio of music for Hyde in his Doctor of Philosophy degree included two short choral pieces. He is finishing his portfolio with a work for music theater. In fact, A Little Invocation is the fourth piece he has written for organ. |
