Sumario:The article examines the detailed graffiti found on Dutch church interiors and on the popular work of architectural painters like Pieter Jansz Saenredam, Emanuel de Witte, and the Berckheydes. They consider the texts of "Leptulus Diptych," which depicts verbal and visual portraits of Jesus Christ, and the "Last Supper" painting. It likewise adds that frame is the second most important common denominator for text painting due to its major role in ensuring the status of text painting. Moreover, it claims that text paintings can offer insight on art history through a modified type of formal analysis that focuses on word and image relationships.
