      ab: The article presents information on the Northwest Digital Archives (NWDA) database. The database involves nineteen institutions in the U.S. that hold more than eight million photographs and 320,000 feet of manuscripts and materials. According to consortium director Larry Landis, the structure used by the NWDA provides for much more robust data retrieval. NWDA has linked up to Google, and the database should be fully searchable by early September 2006.
