Sumario:	The article presents data on the interrelation of mental and physical traits measured from 1118 adolescents aging 13 to 20 years at John Hopkins University in Maryland. Pearson coefficients of correlation between mental and physical traits were calculated, and found out average positive and low correlations. The data suggest that physical traits cannot be used for reliable prediction of mental and academic performance, while maturity is more or less specific. Further investigation on the method to determine conclusively certain aspects of the significance of physiological development during adolescence.
