| Sumario: | The article focuses on the study that describes the anti-polarity in perovskite-structure bismuth manganite which can possibly be a multiferroic material exhibiting concurrent ferromagnetism and ferroelectricity. The ferroelectricity in BiMnO has been challenged which was proved through a full computational structural optimization of BiMnO. It was showed that the two C2 structures are indeed polar, which are higher in energy than a closely related centrosymmetric. |
