Summary:The article focuses on a study of the effects of search practice and perceptual training on the information represented in drawings. It states that efficient search practice improves the perception of complex patterns in art and in improving the overall performance of representational art. It enhances the awareness of the critical attributes of a given configuration. It was found that those who receive perceptual training tend to include more information in their representations and children in their developmental stages display this case more effectively than adults. Perceptual training results in the delay of closure which helps in better interpretation and analysis of the stimulus objects.
