| Sumario: | The article discusses the prototype effects in predicate agreement with collective *a-stem subjects in the Laurentian manuscript of 1377. According to the author, the approach provides a good framework for analyzing the chronicle's attestations in the Russian language. It shows that the atypical agreement of the participial predicates reveals cognitively salient phenomena in language operation. The data examined in the article confirm that a given instance is likely to be marked by a special predicate agreement if it deviates from the subject prototype. |
