Sumario:The article discusses the use of web services for business processes. The authors suggests development life cycle methodology is necessary to manage business applications. The methodology incorporates analysis and design, construction and testing, and deployment of services. Service coupling, the interdependency or web services and business processes, and service cohesion, the relation of processes and operations to each other, form the basis for process and service design. Gap analysis compares software capabilities with proposed services. Risk analysis can help assess the feasibility of a software option.
