Sumario:The present author contends that the Muratorian Fragment can be attributed directly to the third-century bishop Victorinus of Pettau. The argument outlined in this article is bipartite. First, Victorinus documents more parallels to the Fragment than any other ancient author. Second, several of the otherwise inexplicable oddities of the Fragment are rendered intelligible by a Victorinan theory of authorship.
