      ab: Electronic books have gained importance with the development and the wide spread of the internet. The screen has changed the role and the means of the reader while offering different possibilities to be seized in different media. Many publishers in the world has attempted to publish in the electronic medium besides their traditional practices in print format. What is more some writers have established web-sites publishing their own works. Electronic Publishing in Turkey has developed after the year 1995. In the formative years e-publishing applications were only to produce the new published books to the internet audiences. However, the years to follow 2000, depending on the improvements of the sales on the internet and technological developments, some Turkish publishers started to publish and sell books online. This paper focuses on the forces in play in the process of e-publishing in Turkey. The study will examine the e-book practice and will analyse the home-pages of web sites of e-publishers through random selection on the selected 30 in March 2006 with respect to accuracy, authority, currency ,objectivity, coverage and marketing strategies. The study will present Turkish content e-book cases covering various practices. The main trajectory of analysis will be the present condition of e-book publishing in Turkey benefiting e-book publishers.
