ab: The article reports that some authors formerly represented by PFD have asked publishers to start rerouting their royalty payments to United Agents (UA) in Great Britain in 2008. Caroline Michel, PFD chief executive, has warned authors and publishers against the move, saying these are dangerous and any diversion of money by client is a breach of their contract with PFD. Some of the authors involved include Nick Hornby and Julian Barnes. However, there are signs that the dispute maybe close to resolution as a deal between PFD and UA was being brokered.
