| Sumario: | Chapter 6 of the book "Classical Myth & The "Polifemo" of Góngora" is presented. It explores the return of the Cyclops Poliferno in order to sing a song to Galatea after her meeting with Acis. This is not present in the "Polifemo's" classical predecessors or in the version of Carrillo y Sotomayor and is considered as one of the qualities of Góngora's poem which sets him apart from other poets. Differences in the version of the Cyclops' song created by Ovid and by Góngora are presented. |
