Sumario:Chapter 1 of Part I of the book "Reductionism in Drama & the Theater: The Case of Samuel Beckett" is presented. It discusses the concept of reductionism in the natural sciences. A definition of the term which can be found in "The Fontana Dictionary of Modern Thought" is provided.
