| Sumario: | A chapter of the book "The Semiotics of a Bourgeois Society: An Analysis of the "Aguafertes Porteñas" is presented. It focuses on Roberto Arlt's reproach of representatives of the bourgeoisie in the majority of his essays. It states that the acquisition of material goods is one topic in which his criticism of the capitalistic influence on Argentine society becomes apparent in his essays.
