Sumario:Chapter 4 of the second part of the book "They Built Utopia: The Jesuit Missions in Paraguay 1610-1768" is presented. It relates the negotiations regarding the evacuation of people in seven missions of Paraguay that were seized by Portugal as part of the 1750 Border Treaty with Spain. It recounts how Paraguay's Father Provincial José de Barreda requested the Royal Commissar, Don Gaspar de Munive, for an evacuation period of 3 years.
