Sumario:The article presents information on film development using the two-bath development procedure. The theory and history of the two-bath development are discussed. Particular focus is given to two two-bath formulas, Diafine and Ansel Adam's Divided D-23. Experimental procedure and results from tests on the two products are also presented. As a conclusion, the author stated, that the process of the two-bath development guarantees the highlights will not be blown out, even in scenes having extreme contrast.
