Sumario:The article discusses the embroidery work of artist Elaine Reichek. Reichek's embroidery and needlepoint work is discussed as a means to explore the relationships among art history, representation, and technology. The author also discusses the juxtaposition of hand-done work and work done by a computer program. Terms like weaving, looms, stitch, samplers, and Western visual culture are used.
