Sumario:The article discusses rich Internet applications (RIA), indicating that developing RIA's presents more challenges than developing traditional applications. RIA's have been popular in 2008, the article states, due to their ease of use and functionality. Topics include scaling problems, comparisons with traditional Web applications, and servers which must maintain a session for each of the numerous RIA users. Also discussed is the use of Ajax by developers to create interfaces that look like desktops and freeing up server resources.
