Sumario:	The article discusses data-sharing systems, examining a framework for characterizing data-sharing problems and solutions. The authors suggest that the framework is technologically neutral. The framework is able to apply across a broad range of technologies, the article indicates. Topics include data-sharing solutions, a subdiscipline called data-driven science, and researchers who explore large data stores such as genomic databases.
