Sumario:The article presents an analysis of the linguistics used in the book "From Verse to Prose: The Barlaam and Josaphat Legend in Fifteenth-Century Germany," by Salvatore Calomino. It attempts to localize the language of the "Barlaam" text which primarily dealt with vocalic graphic symbols. It focuses on the verbal morphology, the phonological and diphthongal value, and the spelling of the words that were used in the text. Further discussion on the study is also provided.
