Sumario:A biography of Romain Rolland, the third Nobel Prize winner in Literature, is presented. He was born on January 29, 1866 in Clamecy, France. He attended the Ecole Normale Supérieure which culminated in a two-year appointment to the Ecole Francaise d'Archéologie et d'Histoire in Rome. His masterpiece "Jean Christophe," lead him to be a winner of the Nobel Prize. Included in his works are "The Soul Enchanted," "Above the Battlefield," and "Danton."
