| Sumario: | A biography of Grazia Deledda, the second Italian woman recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature is presented. Grazia, the middle child of seven children, was born on September 27, 1871 in Nuoro, Italy. Opportunities for advance education in Nuoro is limited that is why Grazia never exceeded elementary level and just took Italian and French lessons by becoming an observer of the people around her. Her creations made her qualified to receive the Nobel Prize in Stockholm at the age of 30. |
