He was born on October 16, 1888 in New York City and his formal education began at Catholic boarding schools in New York, then at Bretts Academy in Stamford. He entered Princeton University but he got sick and entered a sanatorium in Connecticut. He discovered a vocation of becoming a playwright and created a number of masterpieces and some appeared on the American stage. |
