He was born on January 20, 1873 in a village in Jutland, Denmark and came from a very old Himmerland family. He learned Latin from a priest in Greenland, was sent to the Cathedral School in Viborg and finished in 1893, and took medicine at the University of Copenhagen. His writings under the pseudonym "Ivar Lykke," and his first novel "The Long Journey" are also explored. |
