He was born on November 22, 1869 in Paris, France and came from a wealthy family of Protestant faith. At the age of 11, André's father died which left him to the care of his mother. His schooling was erratic but he finished his studies at the Lycée de Montpellier. He then decided not to enter a university and become a writer. His published writings are also explored. |
