| Sumario: | A biography of Nobel Laureates Saint-John Perse is presented. He was born on May 31, 1887 in Saint-Lé-les-Feuilles, an island in the Caribbean, Guadeloupe under the name of Alexis Léger. He studied law at the University of Bordeaux where he finished his law studies in 1910. In 1915, he was assigned to the 'Maison de la Presse'. Perse is the first poet to from the Caribbean to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. A selection of his published work in Literature is also presented. |
