| Sumario: | A biography of George Seferis, a Nobel Prize winner for Literature, is presented. He was born on March 13, 1900 in Turkey and studied at the Sorbonne. His lyrical writings were inspired by Homer wherein one of his masterpiece was based on characters and scenes from the "Odyssey." He was then appointed to a consular post, represented Greece in the United Nations, and become the Greek ambassador in London. While in London, he developed his poetic prowess which brought him fame and recognition. |
