His first language was Ladino but he also speaks German and other languages. At the age of 14, he wrote his first literary work, a verse drama in several acts, "Junius Brutus," after he was sent to a school in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1929, he earned his doctorate with a dissection in chemistry in Vienna, Austria. |
