Sumario:The author reflects on the interpretation of /Xam oral literature in the postcolonial context, and the application of myth in the narratives. It is said that the stories contained in the 19th-century archive of ?Xam materials, also known as the Bleek and Lloyd collection, were characterised as myths. The author argues that the term myth should be used with caution since it discusses theoretical and ideological implications.
