The factors that mostly influence them are the easy access to web pages with inappropiate contents; the anonymity, the comfort in its use and the ignorance of strategies or programs to navigate in a safe way. Before allowing children and adolescents get in the Internet, it is necessary to establish rules; parents can protect them if they know the risks related to its use and get jumbled in their activities En la última década, los niños han aprendido de manera hábil el manejo de las computadoras. el Internet es una excelente herramienta de comunicación, puede ser un buen lugar para que niños y jóvenes aprendan, investiguen, busquen información o se comuniquen con familiares o amigos. Sin embargo, al igual que en el mundo real, la web puede ser peligrosa. Son diversos los riesgos a los que se exponen los niños y adolescentes al navegar libremente en la web, como la exposición a material pornográfico, de violencia, drogas, juegos de apuestas, abuso y corrupción de menores. Los factores que mayor influencia tienen son la facilidad para acceder a páginas de contenidos inapropiados; a ello, se agrega el anonimato y la comodidad del uso de este medio tecnológico y el desconocimiento de estrategias o programas para navegar de una manera segura.
