| Summary: | At present, everybody has the right to full participation and life in society. One of the important areas of human life includes partnerships and sexuality. However, in persons with intellectual disability, this has been taboo until recently. For some time, researchers have tried to analyse this area both in terms of theory and practical implementation. The monograph deals with partnerships, intimacy and sexuality of people with mental disabilities in the context of the latest knowledge and research results. It defines first the theoretical background, and finally presents the conclusions of a research study implemented by means of quantitative and qualitative methods in the area of sexuality of persons with intellectual disability.
