      ab: The article focuses on the increase in the utilization of deduplication technology by organizations in an effort to deal with duplicate data. Deduplication finds redundant data, deletes all but one copy, and creates logical pointers to the information set so that users can access the material when needed. According to Jerome Wendt, president of DCIG, deduplication allows an organization 20 times more data in a given amount of storage. Information on how it works, hashing, and agents is also provided.
