According to the authors, based on the past research initiatives the island depict a long-term developmental pattern of arboricultural economies with abundant native vegetation. The study reveals that the island depict a direct and diachronic evidence of vegetation patterns wherein the spatial and temporal of its valleys manifest the existence of pre-contact economy and settlement pattern as well as breadfruit-centered arboriculture.
