| Sumario: | The article discusses the Approximate Link (XL) State algorithm designed at the University of California, San Diego that improves the efficiency of networks by restricting the number of link-state or route updates from other routers. XL achieves this by implementing a set of rules that give each router the ability to decide which routers in its vicinity actually require a specific update. Each router also determines whether to send updates to other neighboring routers based on information about the network that those routers have. |
