| Sumario: | The article presents an overview of technological and web-based support services that are available for family health care givers. A discussion of the benefits of assistive devices, telecare devices, computer based services, smart homes and robotic assistants that can be used by caregivers in need of support is presented. Research which has been conducted in an effort to evaluate the effectiveness of technological and web-based support services is examined. The impact technological support services has on the caregiver-patient relationship is discussed. |
