Summary:The article presents an account of various historic sites along the Hudson River and the Lake Champlain discovered by European explorers. The Historic Cherry Hill contains more than 20,000 objects and 30,000 manuscript documents from five generations in the U.S. The Ten Broeck Mansion was completed by Abraham Ten Broeck, the New York Militia commander at the Battle of Saratoga. USS Slater, a cannon-class vessel, is the only World War II destroyer escort still afloat in U.S. waters.
