| Sumario: | BACKGROUND Dissocial dysfunction is a repetitive and persistent behavior pattern that conducts to the rest of the people basic rights and suitable basic social rules infringement. OBJECTIVE To know dissocial dysfunction percent and its treatment length from dissocial dysfunction diagnosis. PATIENTS A random sample of 129 fellows was studied, and it was applied a questionnaire to them parents. METHODS The questionnaire was used to identify fellows that according to them parents present dissocial dysfunction. Fellows were classified with and without dissocial dysfunction according to DSM-IV definition and its ten approaches. RESULTS Study in 129 patients between 4 and 11 years old (94 male [64.8%] y 35 female [35.2%]). From total, 78 patients (53.79%) had dissocial dysfunction: 35.8% male and 17.9% female. Most frecuent behavior, from which caracterize this pathology, was adult arguing (89.7%), followed by severe and frecuent dare to adult orders and requests (80.8%). Treatment length, from diagnosis, was between 7 to 12 months. CONCLUSIONS These elements allow identifying the dissocial dysfunction as a suffering that affects in decisive form children's learning. Families with dysfunctional children need help to understand the condition and to learn how to work successfully with them. These children should receive services based on individual necessities. AANTECEDENTES El trastorno disocial es un patrón de conducta repetitivo y persistente que implica la violación de los drechos básicos de los demás o de las normas sociales fundamentales apropiadas para la edad del paciente. OBJETIVO Conocer el porcentaje de pacientes con trastorno disocial y la duración del tratamiento a partir del diagnóstico de trastorno disocial. PACIENTES Muestra aleatoria de 129 sujetos. Se aplicó cuestionario preliminar a los padres de familia. MÉTODOS Estudio exploratorio, prospectivo y transversal efectuado con una muestra aleatoria de 129 pacientes que asistían a terapia al Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitación a cuyos padres se aplicó un cuestionario que permite identificar el trastorno disocial (DSM-IV). RESULTADOS Se estudiaron 129 pacientes de entre 4 y 11 años de edad (94 del sexo masculino [64.8%] y 35 del femenino [35.2%]). Del total, 78 pacientes (53.79%) tuvieron trastorno disocial: 35.8% hombres y 17.9% mujeres. De las conductas que identifican al trastorno disocial, la más frecuente fue la discusión con los adultos (89.7%), seguida por el desafío grave y frecuente a los requerimientos y órdenes de los adultos (80.8%). La duración del tratamiento, a partir del diagnóstico, fue de 7 a 12 meses. CONCLUSIONES El trastorno disocial es un padecimiento que afecta en forma determinante el aprendizaje de los niños. Las familias de niños con este padecimiento necesitan ayuda para comprender los alcances de esta afección y aprender a convivir en armonía con ellos. Los niños con este trastorno deben recibir servicios congruentes con sus necesidades individuales. |
