Sumario:The author discusses the article "The Child of Death: Personal Names and Parental Attitudes Towards Mortality in Bunyoro, Western Uganda, 1900-2005," by Shane Doyle in the November 2008 issue of "Journal of African History." The author notes that the article provides interesting insight on the rise of Christianity in the region as well as attitudes towards death. The author discusses how the names parents give their children reflect their notion that death is ever present.
