| Summary: | The dromoscopic order of visibility and the associated dromospheric perception arose from a relatively rapid reversal of the places and functions of geometric optics and wave optics: direct vision (through the eye) gave way to indirect vision (through television), the object of vision (the house) gave way to its sign representation (photography), geometrization (maps) was overlaid by combinatorial mathematization (software). As a result, the new dromoscopy triumphed over the old scopia: in situ optics succumbed to wave optics and heralded the advent of the dromoscopic revolution. The indirect inner light of screens is our second sun – but it also marks the end of the outer world of immediate revelation.
