Sumario:The article focuses on the Copyright Infringement portal launched by the Publishers' Association (PA) in February 2009 in an effort to curtail online piracy. The portal targets web sites that offer book titles for free download. Since its inception, the portal has detected around 800 illegally uploaded texts and has helped in removing almost 90 percent of such illegal downloads. The views of PA digital consultant Alicia Wise on the portal are highlighted.
