Sumario:This article reports on the need to update author contracts to reflect the fact that writers are taking an increasingly active role in promoting their books, according to the Association of Authors Agent's President Philippa Milnes-Smith. The level of discount given to authors was also questioned by Milnes-Smith. She points out that publishers provide authors with worse discount terms than most customers.
