| Sumario: | The article discusses how austere policies of Eastern European countries may negatively affect their economies during the global recession. The author suggests that countries like Hungary still practice Soviet economic policies and that economic austerity through proposals to freeze salaries and decrease social benefits will affect minorities and increase class differences.
