Sumario:The article discusses employee computer crime and crime prevention. Organizations have increased their demand for and dependence on information security due to a higher incidence of employee computer crimes. The 2006 Global Security Survey by Deloitte & Touche LLP found that 28% of participating organizations experienced a large amount of internal computer fraud. Employees can pose a higher threat to organizations than outside computer hackers due to their unique knowledge of the corporation such as security vulnerabilities and skills gained that are specific to that company.
